I was surrounded by pearls when I was a child, born to a mother who ran a pearl store. My playground was always her workplace.
I even used to play with pearls as a toy on the side of my mother.
After graduating from university, I apprenticed under my mother for 10 years. She thoroughly instilled in me the basics of sales. After that, I joined my brother's pearl store. I learned about purchasing, processing, and design, and actively traveled overseas to broaden my knowledge of the world through pearls.
In 1998, I became independent, utilizing the skills and know-how I had inherited from my mother and brother, to create a new sensibility and unique color.
I opened the pearl specialty store, 'Rose Pearl.'
I was born in Ise-Shima, the motherland of pearls, and learned much of my life from Kokichi Mikimoto and my mother.
I may be the one who is most fascinated by the beauty and mystery of pearls.
